STA Scholars and Musicopia visit PHL17 to showcase their Bucket Drumming Skills

Musicopia Helps Philly Students March to the Beat of Their Own Drums

STA 5th-grade scholars Jrue, Amy, Metina, Daniel, Jamira, and Melody joined Musicopia to do a presentation at PHL17‘s morning show. With guidance from their instructor Mr. Leon, our scholars did a great job showcasing their drumming skills. We are proud of all our scholars who are part of Musicopia’s bucket drumming program. STA, in partnership with Musicopia, offers this program to our 5th-graders to expand our scholars’ love of music.

Musicopia revitalizes school music programs in the Greater Philadelphia area, providing equitable access to music programming. They help Pre-K to 12th grade students explore and develop their musical interests, learn to play an instrument and perform alongside enthusiastic peers through in-school assemblies, workshops, and residencies, and long-term ensembles.
